2014 ACC Tournament Bracket, Schedule, Analysis

The 2014 ACC men’s basketball tournament is set to begin this upcoming Wednesday, March 12th and conclude on Sunday, March 16th. It will take place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC. Here’s the bracket, along with the times for each game. Ticket information is available here.

The opening round games will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the ACC Network. Thursday's second round games will all be on ESPN. Friday's games will be on ESPN or ESPN2, while the semi-finals on Saturday and finals on Sunday will be on ESPN.

Favorite: Duke

It's hard to put another team besides Virginia here, but you can never look past Duke in the ACC Tournament. The Blue Devils have won 10 of the last 15 ACC Tournaments, and they are sure to have a loud contingent in Greensboro. The Blue Devils shook off an upset loss at Wake Forest with a comfortable win against a hot North Carolina squad at Cameron Indoor last night. Coach K's team is in good form, and that's bad news for the rest of the conference.

Sleeper: North Carolina

North Carolina is rarely a sleeper, but up until last Saturday's loss at Duke, they were arguably the conference's hottest team. After a tumultuous start to the season, North Carolina won 12 in a row between the January 20th loss to Virginia and the Duke game. Marcus Paige averages over 17 points and 4.5 assists per game, and the recent winning streak put him in discussion for ACC Player of the Year.
