4-Star Quarterback Commits To Ole Miss
On Friday, Ole Miss landed a top quarterback recruit for its 2019 class. Grant Tisdale tweeted that he verbally committed to the Rebels Friday afternoon, with a special message for his friends, family, and the Ole Miss faithful.
It's a huge get for the Rebels, who were lacking a quarterback in their 2019 recruiting class. Lucky for them, Ole Miss has just about every other position under lock. After the addition of Tisdale, Ole Miss now owns the No. 3 recruiting class in the country for the 2019 cycle - just behind Georgia and Miami.
Check out his announcement on Twitter.
Tisdale is the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback prospect in the class of 2019, per the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-1, 204 pound junior at Allen High in Texas passed for 2,100 yards and 30 touchdowns and rushed for 1,090 yards and 15 TDs last season.
The Rebels now have 11 commits in their 2019 recruiting class .
The SEC now owns three of the top six recruiting classes for the 2019 cycle. It's a solid start for Matt Luke, who is in his second season with the Rebels, and first at the team's official head coach after being given the interim tag in 2017.
The Rebels finished the 2017 season with a 6-6 record, and will enter the 2018 campaign without star quarterback Shea Patterson.
