One of the top safeties in the 2019 recruiting class has announced his commitment to a new school after previously being pledged to a different program.

Jarrian Jones, a four-star safety in the 2019 class, had previously been committed to Oklahoma. He pledged to the Sooners just over a month ago.

The four-star recruit has decided to change his mind, however, and will now join the Mississippi State recruiting class.

Several major programs continued to recruit Jones, including Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.

Jones announced the news on Twitter.

It's a big pickup for Joe Moorhead as he looks to gain his footing at a new position. Moorhead spent the last two seasons as Penn State offensive coordinator before taking over for Dan Mullen, who left for the Florida job.

Jones is a consensus four-star recruit. He's a major addition to Mississippi State's class.
