In 2015, our readers helped us determine the most annoying college sports fan base. In 2016, it was the most annoying people in sports media. This year, we’re going a different route. You’re going to help us pick the most annoying song in sports.
Some of the songs below are directly related to specific teams or programs. Some are stadium anthems you’ve heard a million times. Regardless, they’re all annoying.

(1.) “YMCA” by the Village People vs. (16.) “Party Up” by DMX
Any song that has an official dance – like “YMCA” – is automatically on this list. DMX’s “Party Up” probably has the most inappropriate lyrics of any tune on here.

(8.) “Unbelievable” by EMF vs. (9.) “Hail to the Redskins”
The early 90s rock song that we can’t seem to rid ourselves of against one of the more notably annoying NFL team songs. Woof.

(5.) “Pump Up The Jam” by Technotronic vs. (12.) “TNT” by AC/DC
Fun fact – Technotronic came from Belgium. We want them to take back this song. “TNT” is one of those songs that every arena in the country uses on a daily basis.

Fans of other Big Ten teams can’t stand Michigan’s fight song. Nobody can stand what the Chicago Bears did back in 1985.

(6.) “We Will Rock You” by Queen vs. (11.) “Hit The Road Jack” by Ray Charles
Yes, we are aware that “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions” were on the same record. We’re splitting them up. “Hit The Road Jack” is another song that gets played every time someone gets ejected.

Basically every college fan base has some inappropriate way to sing Gary Glitter’s tune. The beginning of “Crazy Train” is so overplayed it’s ridiculous.

Fort Minor’s song became a classic back during the 2006 Big East Tournament. “Get Ready for This” is yet another Eurodance song from the 1990s that has hung around way too long.

There are few songs as recognizable in sports as Notre Dame’s fight song. “Hang on Sloopy” is a song that anyone who hates Ohio State can’t stand.
