The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly about to make a trade for a forward. It is not Kawhi Leonard.

Philly is instead progressing toward a trade for the Denver Nuggets' Wilson Chandler. The 31-year-old Chandler has spent the last seven-and-a-half years in Denver.

The news was reported by Yahoo's Shams Charania.

It seems that Denver made this move purely for cap purposes. Trading Chandler saves them over $12 million.

Philly will likely also receive a a second-round pick as well, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Chandler holds career averages of 13.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He's also a career 34 percent three-point shooter and can be used at both forward spots.

This isn't the major splash many Sixer fans were hoping for, but Chandler is a solid NBA player who should help in Philly's rotation.
