The 2018 Ryder Cup is set to kick off from Paris in just a few days as the United States looks to win on foreign soil and hold the Ryder Cup yet again. The festivities, though, started on Wednesday as the world's best golfers came together for a photo opportunity.

A photo of the U.S. players with their significant others went viral after Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson were seen together. The pair has reportedly been battling a speed-bump in their relationship and rumors suggested they might not be a couple for much longer.

However, in the City of Love, the two seem to be working through their differences. In fact, DJ was spotted taking photos of his fiance Paulina on Wednesday during the opening festivities.

Golf Channel came up with an appropriate tagline: "Gotta do what you gotta do."

Coverage of the Ryder Cup begins at 2:00 a.m. ET on the Golf Channel early Friday morning and carries through Sunday.
