Sebring (Fla.) three-star running back DJ Williams committed to Appalachian State in July. He backed off of that pledge today.
Since early November, Williams has been inundated with Power 5 offers. Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Ole Miss, Michigan, South Carolina and Miami (Fla.) have all extended a scholarship.
Williams has officially visited Georgia and Alabama this month as well. He also took an official visit to Auburn in November.
Even with this flurry of activity and his recent decision to decommit from App State, Williams will reportedly still sign in the early period later this week.
Per a report from 247Sports' John Garcia, Williams will sign with a new school on Wednesday.
Given Garcia's report and Williams' recent visits, it looks like he will choose from Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. Not a bad trio of schools.
Williams is the No. 24 running back in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
