A Photo Of Adrian Peterson In Redskins Gear Is Going Viral

The Washington Redskins have a hole at the running back position, with rookie Derrius Guice suffering a serious injury during the team's first preseason game. Washington might be looking to fill that hole with Adrian Peterson.

The former All-Pro running back is interested in signing with the Redskins. He's currently on a visit at the team's facility.

Peterson, who's entering his 12th year in the league, is already sporting some of the team's gear, too.

The following photo was posted on Instagram:

Peterson rushed for 529 yards and two touchdowns last season. He played for both the Saints and the Cardinals in 2017.

ESPN had more on Peterson's possible interest in the Redskins:

"I fly in tonight. I'm down for working out or whatever I have to do to make the team," Peterson told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Coach Jay Gruden said the team isn't looking for a starter, as that job belongs to Rob Kelley.

"We want to get physicals on them just in case," Gruden said of Peterson, Charles and Darkwa. "We've had very unlucky situations with our running backs. If something else happens, we'll be really, really, really thin. We want to make sure we're covering all our bases right now, and we'll address it when we feel like we have to."

Stay tuned.
