Alabama's football program received some pretty big news today. The Crimson Tide have received a commitment from a 2020 quarterback recruit.

Carson Beck, a pro-style quarterback out of Jacksonville, Fla., announced this afternoon that he's committed to Alabama. He will be playing both baseball and football for the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot-3 quarterback had previously been committed to play baseball at Florida.

"I am beyond blessed to announce that I will be committing to the University of Alabama to play both baseball and football," Carson Beck wrote.

His full announcement can be seen below:

Beck is a top quarterback recruit in the 2020 class. He also had scholarship offers from Boston College, Florida and Florida Atlantic.

The quarterback is Alabama's fourth commitment in the 2020 class. The Crimson Tide also have commitments from three four-star prospects. The class is ranked the No. 4 class in the country.

Beck's commitment will likely provide a boost in the rankings for Alabama's class.
