The NBA's 2018 offseason has officially begun, with the Golden State Warriors sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, winning Game 4 in blowout fashion on Friday night.

The offseason is going to be a good one - a really, really good one. There are a lot of factors that'll play into this, but the big, juicy one is LeBron James' impending free agency.

James is expected to opt out of his contract and become a free agent (or opt into the final year of his contract and demand a trade elsewhere).

The recruiting of James will heat up very quickly. It's already begun to, actually.

Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid took to Twitter late in Game 4 to make his initial pitch to James.

"Trust The Process!!!!" Embiid tweeted to James. "Find a new slant."

The tweet had already been retweeted nearly 30,000 times by the time we published this:

The Sixers are believed to be one of the leading contenders to land James this offseason. Houston and Los Angeles, among others, are also listed as the favorites.

NBA free agency officially begins on July 1. It's possible James could come to a decision sooner than that, though, if he goes somewhere via a sign-and-trade.

Stay tuned.
