A major, embarrassing upset is currently brewing late in an SEC game.

Vanderbilt, which is off to a 2-2 start this season, is hosting Tennessee State, an FCS program, in Nashville this evening.

The Commodores just scored a touchdown to take the lead, 31-27, but this one is far from over.

Vanderbilt is very much in danger of losing to an FCS team at home.

USA TODAY college football writer Dan Wolken said it would be the most-embarrassing loss in program history.

"If Vanderbilt loses to Tennessee State in football, it would be the biggest embarrassment in the history of a football program that has been embarrassed a lot," he writes.

Vanderbilt desperately needs to hold on late in the fourth quarter.

The game is on the SEC Network.
