Luka Doncic wound up going No. 3 to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night - but he was promptly traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Trae Young and a future first round pick. While Doncic had an eventful night, apparently, so did his mother.
Doncic's mother, Mirjam Poterbin, accompanied her son to the NBA Draft - making the trip over from Europe. Once shown on television, she immediately went viral. Apparently, she caught the eye of another NBA star as well.
Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors, a few seconds after she was shown on ESPN, tweeted about his excitements. "Moms decent!!!" is what he posted on Twitter for the world to see.
Needless to say, it should make for an interesting dynamic when the two players eventually square off in a game.
Poterbin herself took to social media as well during the event. She posted an Instagram photo from the NBA Draft - showing a basketball with Doncic's name on it.
Earlier in the week, she posted a celebratory photo of herself and Doncic after he led Real Madrid to the EuroLeague title. As you'd imagine, it's been quite a week for the family.
If you're wondering - yes, it's a little weird for a current NBA player, especially a veteran, to be commenting on the attractiveness of a rookie's mother. But that's 2018 on social media for you.
