Earlier Tuesday, Maryland made the controversial decision to reinstate head football coach D.J. Durkin following the death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair earlier this season. Durkin was placed on administrative leave while an investigation into the incident was launched by the university.

Following the university's decision to reinstate Durkin, McNair's father and several Maryland football players questioned the outcome. Many members of the media were also caught off-guard by the decision and wondered if reinstating Durkin was best for the program.

After the decision was reached, Nicole Auerbach of the Athletic spoke to one anonymous coach that suggested Maryland players no longer "want" to play for Durkin.

"You know everybody else is going to use this on Maryland. Everybody....These kids want to get out of there. There are kids who have no NFL grades at all who are talking about declaring. They do not want to play for this man."

Here's more from Auerbach.
