The Associated Press released its preseason Top 25 poll earlier today. Not surprisingly, Alabama was No. 1.

The Crimson Tide garnered 42 first-place votes. Clemson, the second-ranked team in the poll, added 18. You can see the full rankings here.

There was a third team to earn a first-place tally: the Wisconsin Badgers, who are ranked No. 4. Bob Asmussen of the Champaign (Ill.) News-Gazette had the Badgers atop his ballot.

Asmussen put Alabama at No. 2, with Georgia third. Clemson and Ohio State rounded out his top five.
