Arizona Has Initiated The Dismissal Process For Book Richardson

The Wildcats' assistant coach is being dismissed from the school.

The University of Arizona announced this evening that it has initiated the dismissal process for men's assistant basketball coach Book Richardson.

Richardson was one of four Power 5 assistant coaches arrested as a result of the FBI's investigation into college basketball.

He's alleged to have taken $20K in bribes and paid a recruit to commit to Arizona.

Here's the full statement from Arizona:

USC’s Tony Bland, Auburn’s Chuck Person and Oklahoma State’s Lamont Evan were also arrested.

Louisville's head coach, Rick Pitino, and athletic director, Tom Jurich, have been ousted from their positions as a result of the investigation, too.

It's unclear if Arizona head coach Sean Miller will be affected.
