Baker Mayfield Dominated His Interview With Colin Cowherd Today

Baker Mayfield and Colin Cowherd debate on FS1.

Baker Mayfield appears on FS1's The Herd.

FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd has been critical of quarterback Baker Mayfield for years now - and heading into this past April's draft, he even went as far as to declare the former Oklahoma signal-caller "undraftable." Thursday, Mayfield joined Cowherd on his radio show and quickly showed that he wouldn't be pushed around.

Mayfield, before he event sat down, made quite a statement. The former Heisman Trophy winner was wearing an "Undraftable" shirt mocking Cowherd. Mayfield, as we all know, went No. 1 overall to the Cleveland Browns - meaning he was quite far from being undraftable.

At one point, Cowherd showed Mayfield a clip from the Ohio State game, where Mayfield ran off towards the stands in celebration following a touchdown. Cowherd tried to imply that Mayfield was acting selfishly. Mayfield wasn't having any of it.

Mayfield: "I feel like you're going for the fact that I'm not a team guy. I'm selfish. Is that what you're shooting at right here?"

The entire interview spanned two segments and Mayfield has been getting praised for his performance. FOX will likely release it later on Thursday.

It remains to be seen whether Mayfield will be a successful pro. Some have compared him to Johnny Manziel - particularly because of some of his off-the-field antics. Others think he'll be just fine. Regardless, he has quite a task in front of him - turning around an 0-16 franchise.
