You'd be hard-pressed to find a better first-quarter performance from an NFL rookie quarterback than the one Baker Mayfield just had against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mayfield, leading the Cleveland Browns against their in-state rival, was brilliant in the first 15 minutes of the contest.

The Browns' No. 1 overall pick finished the first quarter going 9/10 for 122 yards, 1 touchdown and a QB rating of 143.2.

Cleveland leads Cincinnati, 14-0.

Mayfield was pretty jacked up before the game. Maybe he knew this kind of performance was coming...

Browns fans are excited, too. Cleveland appears to have finally found its franchise quarterback.

The Browns and the Bengals are playing on CBS.
