For nearly two decades, the New England Patriots have found a way to win on the field without dealing with too many off-the-field issues. This offseason, however, there's been storyline after storyline regarding the most successful franchise in the NFL. The Brady vs. Belichick drama. Gronk's decision to skip the beginning of OTAs. Julian Edelman's PED situation.

Well, add one more. Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports is teasing the idea of Rob Gronkowski not being a Patriot by the end of the day.

Portnoy's report, which he says himself you can take with a grain of salt, comes hours after a Reddit user - the same Reddit user who somehow broke the Edelman news - said he has a "major" story involving the Patriots to break tonight.

It's unclear why Gronk wouldn't be a Patriot by the end of the day. You can bet that reporters are scrambling to figure out what's happening up in New England - if anything.

Yes, this could be a false alarm if you're a Patriots fan. But this has been a crazy offseason, to say the least. Plus, Belichick has proven before that he's open to trading away good players before they hit the second half of their careers.

As you'd imagine, Patriots fans are freaking out a bit right now. We'll keep you updated.
