NFL Insider Deletes Apparent Tweet About Browns' No. 1 Pick

roger goodell announces the browns 2017 no. 1 pick

The Browns have yet to make their decision on the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Or...have they?

NFL insider Benjamin Allbright appeared to leak the news about Cleveland's decision in a tweet this afternoon. Then, he deleted it.

However, Allbright addressed the tweet, coyly. It's a little weird.

"Some of you saw me delete a tweet. If you caught that tweet, good for you. No further comment on it," he wrote.

OK then. Oh - the tweet. It's below:

Former USC star quarterback Sam Darnold is the overwhelming betting favorite at No. 1. Most expect the Browns to take him.

Other reports have suggested that Baker Mayfield is also in contention. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Cleveland does have real interest in the Heisman Trophy winner at No. 1.

The 2018 NFL Draft's first round is set to begin later this week. It'll air Thursday night on FOX, ESPN and NFL Network. Stay tuned.
