A major announcement is set to be made on Tuesday by a Big Ten program and an MLB franchise. It shouldn't be too difficult to realize what this is going to be.

Northwestern's football program tweeted out this afternoon that the Wildcats will be making a "major event announcement" on Tuesday at Wrigley Field.

"The 'Cats and Cubs will host a press conference at home plate inside Wrigley Field on Tuesday at 10am CT for a major event announcement," Northwestern announced.

The Chicago Tribune reported earlier this week what this announcement is going to be.

Northwestern is set to host a Big Ten foe at Wrigley Field in a couple of years.

From the report:

The Wildcats’ return to the Friendly Confines will feature a new opponent and conventional field of play — with the potential for extra points to land on Sheffield Avenue.

Northwestern has chosen its Nov. 7, 2020, game against Wisconsin for its return to Wrigley Field, the Tribune has learned.

The Cubs and Northwestern officials are expected to make it public during a Tuesday news conference at Wrigley Field. The Cubs play host to the Phillies that night.

This will be fun. Stay tuned for the official announcement on Tuesday.
