The Big 12 has announced some big news regarding its conference title game.
On Friday, the Big 12 released a statement regarding the future of the Big 12 Championship game and the alignment of teams.
The conference has announced that it will not split its 10 teams into two divisions. Instead, starting in 2017, the two best teams in the league will play for the conference title in a championship game at a neutral site. The No. 1 team in the conference will take on the No. 2 team in the conference for the Big 12 title.
The last Big 12 conference championship game took place in 2010 as Oklahoma topped Nebraska 23-20. There have only been 15 total Big 12 conference championship games in the league's existence. The Sooners have won the most among Big 12 teams with seven titles dating back to 1996.
In light of this big news, we thought it would be interesting to see what the title game would have looked like in each of the past five seasons.
