On Tuesday night, the Kansas Jayhawks won their seventh game of the season to continue their undefeated streak to open the year. It didn’t come easy as the team led by just three at the half over Wofford, but Kansas dominated the second half en route to a 72-47 win.
Despite the win, Jayhawks fans were concerned about the health of their star player. Udoka Azubuike played just four minutes in the contest after suffered what looked to be a severe ankle injury.
After the game, head coach Bill Self revealed an injury update for his star player. Self said Azubuike suffered an ankle sprain and will be out for the foreseeable future.
“I think indefinitely would be the best way to put it, it’s probably going to be a while,” Self said of the injury.

It’s a tough loss for Kansas.
The Jayhawks will face a tough test against Villanova in 10 days. It will be interesting to see how the team plays against top competition without Azubuike.
