Jake O'Brien is leaving the Terriers, according to CBSSports.com. While he enjoyed his time playing in Boston, he is leaving the school due toits 2013 postseason ban.

An NCAA rule allows O'Brien to transfer to any school and remain eligible to play immediately because he is a senior entering his last season of eligibility, and his team is facing a postseason ban. The rule was enacted as a way to not punish individuals as much as schools.

O'Brien was a key player for Boston last season, averaging 11 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He will look to take those numbers to a team that will contend for the NCAA Tournament.
