Photo: Brazilian Soccer Players Learn Of Teammates Killed In Plane Crash

This photo captured the moment the Chapecoense players learned of the crash that killed nearly everyone on board.

An airplane on which the Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense was flying crashed on its way from Bolivia to Colombia last night, reportedly killing nearly everyone on board. Of the 81 passengers on board, consisting of players, coaches, staff and journalists, only six are reported to have survived. Authorities suspect an electrical failure is responsible for the crash.

Here's a photo of the Chapecoense players who did not travel with the team, who had just learned the fate of their teammates:

Chapecoense players Alan Ruschel, Jackson Fullman, Helio Neto and Marcos Danilo Padilha were all found alive in the wreckage. The club has since confirmed that Danilo died from his injuries at the hospital.

The team was traveling to Medellín, Colombia to begin the first of a two-leg final for the Copa Sudamericana against Atlético Nacional. It was to be the biggest moment in the club's history.
