Brett McMurphy Pokes Fun At Michigan Football After Michigan Basketball's Huge Win Over Houston

College football reporter Brett McMurphy didn't make too many friends in Michigan on Saturday night.

Michigan basketball won one of the craziest NCAA Tournament games in recent memory on Saturday night when freshman Jordan Poole hit an incredible buzzer-beating three-pointer. One college football reporter found an interesting way to poke fun at the Wolverines' football program in the process.

The shot was set up by a long inbounds pass from Isaiah Livers to Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, who then found Poole with a second to play. If you haven't seen the play, well, you should.

Brett McMurphy, college football reporter extraordinaire, joked that it was the best pass he'd seen from a Wolverine in the past several years. Yes, that's a shot at Michigan's quarterback play the past few years.

Things could be changing in Ann Arbor, however. The Wolverines landed transfer quarterback Shea Patterson from Ole Miss this past offseason. If he's ruled to be eligible in 2018, Michigan could see a significant improvement under center.

McMurphy, predictably, is getting it from Michigan fans on Twitter. That being said, he's isn't exactly wrong.
