Ohio State is less than 12 hours away from kickoff in its primetime showdown against TCU at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Buckeyes are the big favorite entering this evening's game, but OSU will apparently be without a four-star freshman.

Brian Snead, Ohio State's third-string running back, has reportedly not made the trip to Texas for tonight's game against the Horned Frogs.

Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch first reported the news.

"FYI, freshman RB Brian Snead among those who did not make trip with No. 4 Ohio State, acting HC Ryan Day confirmed for Dispatch. No explanation offered," he tweeted.

Snead, a Florida native, was ranked the No. 3 RB in the country coming out of high school this past year.

The running back has totaled 37 yards on 11 carries so far this season. He scored a touchdown in the season opener against Oregon State.

Ohio State and TCU are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
