This 1956 Photo Of Burt Reynolds, Lee Corso At Florida State Is Going Viral
Burt Reynolds, the legendary actor and former Florida State football player, passed away today. He was 82.
Reynolds, who's known for several iconic roles, died Thursday in Jupiter, Fla. Early reports suggest heart problems as the cause of death.
Burt Reynolds, one of Hollywood’s most popular leading men during the ’70s and early ’80s in such films as “Deliverance,” “Smokey and the Bandit, “The Longest Yard” and “Semi-Tough,” has died. His rep confirmed that he died Thursday in Jupiter, Fla. He was 82.
He later earned an Oscar nomination as best supporting actor in Paul Thomas Anderson’s ode to skin flicks, “Boogie Nights.” He had been set to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Hollywood.”
Reynolds is obviously known for his career in movies, but he was quite the athlete, too. He played college football at Florida State.

"RIP to Burt Reynolds, a man who became so much more than Lee Corso’s roommate. Here the two are on the 1956 Florida State football team," ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted.
