There are two teams being mentioned the most for Carmelo Anthony, who's likely to be bought out or stretched by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He'll then be able to hit free agency and pick a new team.

The two teams being mentioned the most: Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.

Yahoo! Sports' NBA insider Jordan Schultz reports that Anthony has some "preferred" destinations and the Lakers is one of them.

"Source close to Carmelo Anthony says the Lakers are one of Melo’s preferred destinations, and that he's high on chance to finally play with LeBron. Keep in mind too, that Carmelo owns a house in LA," he reports.

The Rockets also make sense as they have Chris Paul, one of Anthony's close friends. So, too, do the Sixers, as they are close to Anthony's home town and could need a scorer off the bench.

One team that's starting to get some more love: Portland.

The Blazers have long been mentioned as an option for Carmelo, with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum trying to recruit him to their squad last summer.

SB Nation named Portland as an option for Anthony this summer:

There’ve been Melo-to-Portland rumors for a while now and this may be the time it comes true. Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are desperate for a third star to make their team playoff relevant, but a tight budget’s restricted the Blazers from making major moves.

Is Melo a true star anymore? Not based on last season, but at an extreme discount, Portland’s a team that should be interested in taking chances.

Anthony will most-likely end up on a big-name contender like the Lakers or the Rockets, but watch out for Portland.
