Report: This Is What The Cavs Are Offering For Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard runs up the court during a game for the Spurs.

Several NBA teams have reached out to the San Antonio Spurs regarding the status of All-NBA forward Kawhi Leonard. The MVP-caliber player reportedly asked to be traded at the end of last week. San Antonio wants to keep him, but he might end up getting shipped out.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, unsurprisingly, are one of the teams that have reached out to San Antonio about a trade for Leonard. The Cavs aren't sure about LeBron James' future moving forward - it's obviously very possible he could leave this summer - but if they were able to add Leonard, that could be enough to entice him to stay for at least another season.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, it doesn't seem like the franchise has enough assets to persuade San Antonio to make a move.

ESPN NBA insider Zach Lowe says the Cavs are dangling Kevin Love and the No. 8 overall pick for Leonard. That is not going to be enough.

From ESPN.com:

Some of those suitors know they don't have enough: The Cavs peddling Kevin Love and the No. 8 pick, the Grizzlies with No. 4 and Chandler Parsons, the Clippers with Tobias Harris and Nos. 12 and 13.

ESPN's Ryen Russillo reported earlier this week that James is currently surveying the league, seeing if any stars are willing to come to Cleveland.

It would be great for the Cavs if Leonard was one of those stars, but it doesn't look like San Antonio is interested in anything Cleveland has to offer.

The Leonard trade talks are probably going to heat up in the next 24 hours or so. The 2018 NBA Draft is set for Thursday night. It'll begin at 7 p.m. E.T. on NBA. A lot of the teams interested in trading for Leonard have top draft picks that could be on the move. Stay tuned.
