Ten college football programs are in action today as bowl season officially kicks off in just a few minutes. One of the teams in action today will take the field with only four coaches.
Utah State head coach Matt Wells left the program to become the head coach at Texas Tech after the Red Raiders moved on from former coach Kliff Kingsbury. Wells proceeded to bring a significant portion of his coaching staff with him to Lubbock, leaving Utah State with only a handful of coaches.
The Aggies will take on North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl in just over an hour. They’ll have to do so without a large portion of their coaching staff.
Since Matt Wells was hired by Texas Tech and is taking most of his staff with him to Lubbock, only four Utah State coaches are on hand today for the New Mexico Bowl.

The Aggies had to rely on graduate assistants and seniors on the team to get Utah State ready for today’s game. North Texas already posed a legitimate threat to Utah State in today’s game, but with only four coaches on staff, the Aggies are in for a tough day.
Utah State and North Texas kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
