A lot of NBA teams are being mentioned as potential landing spots for LeBron James this summer, from the Lakers to the Celtics to the Rockets. You can apparently cross one major team off the list, though.

The Philadelphia 76ers are ranked as one of the top contenders to land James according to the oddsmakers - and a lot of analysts - but one top NBA expert says it's not happening.

Charles Barkley, who played for the Sixers, says James isn't coming.

"He's not coming to the Sixers," Barkley said on The Mike Missanelli Show Tuesday. "He's not coming to the Sixers because he needs the ball, Simmons needs the ball and Embiid needs the ball. That would make Simmons useless."

Barkley continued, going into more detail about why James isn't a good fit.

"He's not going to give the ball up at this stage of his career," Barkley said. "He's not a great shooter, so you can't play him off the ball. I guarantee you [defenders] would let him shoot threes all night. Guys would love him to shoot threes. ... It would hurt Embiid and Simmons going forward."

The Sixers aren't believed to be the favorite to land James this summer - the Lakers are the favorite according to the oddsmakers - but they are believed by most to be one of the top 3-4 contenders.

Still, no one really knows what James is going to do. Going to Miami in 2010 and returning to Cleveland in 2014 both came as pretty big surprises. It shouldn't be surprising if he makes another surprising decision.

What team will that be? We can't wait to find out.
