Watch Charles Oakley Get Into A Fight At The Knicks Game
Here's Charles Oakley shoving security at the Knicks game.
Former New York Knicks star/enforcer Charles Oakley is at tonight's Knicks' game. They're playing the Los Angeles Clippers at Madison Square Garden.
Oakley, 53, apparently got into it with people at the game.
Here's a longer look, from Sports Illustrated.
And here's another angle.
According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Oakley was later in handcuffs.
Oakley, the No. 9 overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft, played in the league from 1985 to 2004. He was with the Knicks from 1988-98, the longest stint with any team. Oakley was an NBA All-Star once in 1994. That same year, he was a first-team All-Defense performer.
Updates to come.
Update (8:40 p.m. E.T.): The Knicks have released the following statement, saying Oakley has been arrested by New York City Police after behaving in a "highly inappropriate and completely abusive behavior." The Knicks say they hope he gets some help soon.
Here's the full statement.
What a story.
