Chattanooga vs. Alabama preview:
Chattanooga (8-2) is an FCS program and enters the contest fresh off of a 36-28 loss to Wofford last Saturday. Alabama (10-0) beat up on Mississippi State last Saturday by a score of 51-3 .
Chattanooga, who is No. 11 in the latest FCS Top 25, is a strong FCS program historically that has reached the FCS Playoffs each of the past two seasons. The Mocs, who are members of the SOCON, have the No. 25 offense among FCS teams averaging 426.5 yards per contest.
Alabama destroyed Mississippi State last weekend as the Tide continue to roll. Alabama out gained the Bulldogs 615 yards to 274 yards which included 397 passing yards. Jalen Hurts went 28-for-37 through the air for 347 yards, four touchdowns and one pick and also picked up 100 yards on the ground as well to lead the Tide in rushing.
Alabama beat Chattanooga back in 2013 by the count of 49-0.
Chattanooga vs. Alabama Prediction:
Alabama will not have any trouble against its FCS opponent this Saturday and could very well shut out the Mocs.
This will be a tuneup and chance for Alabama to get a few underclassmen some game time against a quality FCS opponent in Chattanooga. Alabama will cruise and get prepped for its battle in the Iron Bowl next weekend.
