If you had a cheetah in your car, could you stay perfectly still? The man in the video below does just that.
Earlier this month, a group on an African Safari trip actually had a cheetah enter their car. KOMO NewsRadio in Seattle, Washington is reporting that Britton Hayes (the son of an anchor at KOMO) was one of the people on the trip. They all survived.
KOMO is reporting that three cheetahs took an interest in the vehicle the group was driving around in. One jumped on the hood, while another came in the backseat.
The video below, shot by Peter Heistein, shows a terrified man trying not to move as the cheetah inspects the vehicle. It's one of the scariest clips you'll ever see.
Here's another video - showing the second cheetah on the hood.
As ABC points out, the fact that the man never made eye contact with the cheetah likely helped him survive.
Hayes explained why they didn't drive off beforehand. He says their guide, Alex, kept them calm.
"We started to notice the cheetahs became curious of the vehicle," said Hayes. "But it was too late to drive quickly away or anything like that because you don't want to startle the animals, because that's when things usually go wrong."
Needless to say, they're lucky to have survived.
