Chiefs Cornerback Marcus Peters Sits For National Anthem vs. Redskins

At least one Kansas City Chiefs player continued to sit for the national anthem on Monday night.

Some were wondering if Sunday night's horrific events in Las Vegas would lead to every player in tonight's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Washington Redskins game standing for the national anthem. That did not happen.

Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters, who has sat for the anthem all year, stayed on the bench for it. Cameras captured the moment live on ESPN:

The Redskins currently lead the Chiefs 7-0 early.

Update: ESPN's Darren Rovell is reporting that two players sat. Another photo shows it actually might have been three players.

It's 10-0 in the second quarter.
