One of the best college football wide receivers from the past few years reportedly re-injured his foot in practice and will miss a significant portion of the season. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins re-injured his foot in practice earlier this week.
According to multiple reports, the Chiefs want to play it safe with Watkins’ injury and will hold him out for a while. How long is a while?
Well, according to Sam Mellinger of the KC Star, Watkins will be sidelined for the rest of the regular season and possibly into the playoffs as well. He could miss 4-6 weeks with the injury.

The latest signing by the Chiefs now makes a lot of sense. Kansas City brought in former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin earlier this week.
It looks like the move is going to pay off after the injury to Watkins.
Kansas City takes on the Baltimore Ravens this weekend.
