Clemson's football program played one of its most nerve-inducing games in recent memory this afternoon.

The Tigers lost true freshman starter Trevor Lawrence to an injury in the first half and was playing from behind for much of its contest against Syracuse.

Eventually, Clemson scored a game-winning touchdown with very little time remaining, and the Tigers' defense held strong on the ensuing drive.

Dabo Swinney was pretty emotional while speaking to ESPN immediately following the game. He had some great quotes in his press conference, too.

The Tigers' head coach says he doesn't think he's ever been more proud of a team.

"I’ve never been more proud of a team in my life ... I’ll never forget this one," he said.

Clemson stayed undefeated with the win. Now, all attention will turn to Lawrence and his injury. It's unclear what his status is moving forward.
