Clemson vs. Wake Forest preview:

Clemson (9-1) is coming off of an upset loss at home to Pittsburgh, 43-42, for its first loss of the year. Wake Forest (6-4) fell to Louisville a week ago by the score of 44-12 on the road.

Wake Forest's offense struggled against Louisville as it put up just 214 yards and just 73 yards on the ground. On the flip side, the Demon Deacons gave up 491 yards to the Cardinals. Quarterback John Wolford went 13-for-22 through the air for 141 yards for the Deacons.

Clemson was stunned by Pitt last week at home despite putting up 630 yards of offense against the Panthers. Clemson's damage came through the air as it was able to only gain 50 yards on the ground in the loss. Deshaun Watson was 22-for-37 through the air for 308 yards and five touchdowns.

Clemson beat Wake Forest last season by a score of 33-13.

Clemson vs. Wake Forest Prediction:

Clemson may come into this one looking to make a statement and it's very possible that it does just that.

The Tigers offense may cause some havoc on Wake Forest's defense, particularly through the air, as Wake's passing defense ranks 65th in the nation.

Clemson will win this one, but Wake Forest will keep it competitive.
