John Calipari has been Kentucky's men's basketball coach since 2009. During that time, the head coach has surely heard a lot of not-so-good things from his rival's fan base, Louisville.

Coach Cal, though, says nothing has ever bothered him. Well, until today.

A Louisville fan appeared on the Today show this morning. He had a message for Calipari.

"John Calipari hates puppies," the Louisville fan's sign read. "Go Cards!"

Saying Coach Cal hates puppies is crossing the line, man. He had to respond. And he did.

"Nothing a Louisville fan has EVER said to me has ever bothered me but this one got to me a little bit. McGruff and Palmer were so mad that they came to my office to ask me about it," Calipari tweeted.

Well played, coach. Well played.
