Coach K Didn't Like This Grayson Allen Question After Sunday's Loss

Grayson Allen and Coach K speak post-game.

Coach K was asked about Grayson Allen's "up and down" career after Duke's loss to Kansas on Sunday night. He didn't seem to appreciate the question.

Krzyzewski took exception to the question itself. He corrected the reporter, ESPN's Jeff Goodman, suggesting that Allen's career has been just "up."

The question came after Duke's loss to No. 1 seed Kansas in the Elite Eight on Sunday night.

Here's the back-and-forth:

Goodman: Mike, Grayson's obviously had a pretty good career, up and down a little bit over the four years. What does he mean to you and what does his Duke career mean to you?

Krzyzewski: Yeah, well his career has been up. A little injury-plagued, especially his junior year. But he's a 2,000-point scorer, he's a national champion, he's been our leader this year. He's one of the outstanding players to have ever played in our program. He did a good job of interacting with this young group and helping this young group grow.

Here's video of Coach K's full response, via CBS:

Allen has been a solid player for Duke for four years, but his career has had some interesting moments. He won a national title as a freshman, suffered a number of injuries and was under the national spotlight at one point for tripping opponents. Now, he's off to the NBA - it'll be interesting to see where he's taken in this year's draft.
