There were some uncertainties heading into this season for Ohio State due to Urban Meyer's decision to retire. Well, it didn't take long for the program to show they'll be more than OK with Ryan Day at the helm.

Meyer is undeniably one of the best coaches in the history of college football. His ability to establish a winning culture at Florida, Ohio State and Utah puts his value into perspective.

Toward the end of last season, the Buckeyes were grooming Day to become the next coach. It was pretty clear that Meyer felt confident in his abilities to lead the program.

In Day's first season as the head coach of Ohio State he's led the team to a 6-0 start. The offense looks very impressive under five-star quarterback Justin Fields.

During his weekly spot on FS1's The Herd, Colin Cowherd asked Meyer if it's hard to watch Ohio State this season. Meyer's response was short but sweet.

"No, it's not hard," Meyer told Cowherd. "That was my dream to hand it off to someone to even make it better and I think he (Ryan Day) is."

You can listen to Meyer's full reaction here:

This response from Meyer isn't surprising at all when you consider how strong his relationship is with Day. The two coaches have tremendous respect for each other.

While the loss of Meyer certainly stung at first, the Ohio State Buckeyes are showing no signs of slowing down with Day as the head coach.
