Former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is attempting to make an NFL comeback these days - playing up in the CFL to show scouts that he's a changed man since his time with the Cleveland Browns. But some recent comments made on his podcast with Barstool Sports have at least one radio host thinking what he does on the field won't matter.

This week, Manziel, on his ComebackSZN podcast, discussed the media's response to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo taking porn Kiara Mia on a date.

In short, Manziel thinks the media is being "soft." He added that Garoppolo should be able to do whatever he wants. Colin Cowherd thinks the comments ended Manziel's NFL career.

Here's the Manziel quote, via the New York Post:

“What’s wrong with it? All these soft NFL reporters, saying, ‘Oh man, he’s going on a date with a — dude, let the guy live his life! So what, what she does for a living,” Manziel said. “If anything, that’s going to make him play better on a Sunday or a Monday.”

“He’s backing it up on the field, he hasn’t lost a game. Nothing. Guy’s doing everything … and he’s enjoying life. So be it,” Manziel said.

Cowherd did a segment with Jason Whitlock on Speak for Yourself - arguing that Manziel isn't as changed a man as he'd trying to lead people to believe.

Regardless, Manziel was traded to the Montreal Alouettes this week, so hopefully he starts to get some time on the field. Manziel was an immensely fun player to watch in college.
