Colin Kaepernick Appears To Respond To Michael Vick With Stockholm Syndrome Subtweet

Colin Kaepernick appears to have responded to Michael Vick.

Monday, former NFL quarterback Michael Vick went on FS1's Speak for Yourself, dropping some advice for unemployed quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Vick suggested that the "first thing" Kaepernick should do to land a gig is cut his afro. Here's the quote:

“First thing we’ve got to get Colin to do is cut his hair,” Vick said on Speak for Yourself. “Listen, I’m not up here to try to be politically correct. Even if he puts cornrows in there. I don’t think he should represent himself in that way (wearing the Afro). Just the hairstyle. Just go clean-cut. You know, why not? You’re already dealing with a lot.”

Many were upset with Vick's suggestion, for obvious reasons.

Well, Kaepernick doesn't appear to be a fan of Vick's suggestion either.

Tuesday morning, Kaepernick appears to have responded on Twitter. Kaepernick posted the definition of Stockholm Syndrome - perhaps implying that Vick is being held captive by white America.

While the term itself was coined in 1973 in Stockholm after a bank robbery, it is often associated with American slavery - which took place long beforehand.

It'll be interesting to see if Vick responds. Kaepernick, meanwhile, is still looking for a job this fall.
