Report: Colin Kaepernick Says He Would Stand For The National Anthem (UPDATED)

The free agent quarterback says he'd stand for the anthem if he was signed.

Colin Kaepernick sat and then kneeled for the national anthem while he played for the San Francisco 49ers during the 2016 NFL season.

The 29-year-old quarterback has been out of the league since, but he's doing everything he can to get signed, as CBS' Jason La Canfora detailed today.

Kaepernick told CBS that if he was signed, he would stand for the national anthem.

La Canfora detailed what Kaepernick was planning to do. "He’s not planning on kneeling. He's going to donate all his jersey sales. He’s planning on standing for the anthem if given the opportunity," he said. Kaepernick had previously said that he would stand "when the flag represents what it's supposed to." Update: Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend says this is not true.
