College Football Power Rankings Heading Into Week 13

We take a look around the college football world and rank the best teams in the country. It’s the college football power rankings.

If you can believe it, we’re headed into the 13th week of the college football season. It was a wild Week 12 of college football, and with some teams picking up statement wins and others barely getting by, we have quite the shakeup in our rankings heading into this weekend's action. Let’s get to it, this week’s college football power rankings.

25. San Diego State (9-2)

The Aztecs didn't answer the test at Wyoming on Saturday as they fell 34-33 after going for two with no time left on the clock. Donnel Pumphrey had just 76 yards on the ground as well.

24. Tennessee (8-3)

The Tennessee Volunteers logo.

Tennessee gave up 740 yards of total offense to Missouri, but won the contest 63-37. It wasn't pretty, but a 26-point SEC win is a 26-point SEC win.

23. South Florida (9-2)

The Bulls beat SMU 35-27 this past weekend giving them their sixth win in their last seven games played. South Florida has scored 30 or more points in every game this season.

22. Stanford (8-3)

The Stanford Cardinal logo.

The Cardinal have quietly won four straight games thanks to a 45-31 win over Cal this weekend. Christian McCaffrey exploded for 284 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the Golden Bears.

21. Utah (8-3)

The Utes' Pac-12 South dreams were shattered after falling to Oregon at home 30-28 this past weekend. It was the biggest upset of the day outside of the state of Kansas.

20. Washington State (8-3)

The Cougars fell in their Pac-12 showdown against Colorado 38-24. The loss hurts, but the Apple Cup on Saturday against Washington may still be the biggest in the rivalry's history.

19. Auburn (8-3)

Auburn prepped for the Iron Bowl with a 55-0 win over Alabama A&M. The Tigers looked really good in the third quarter scoring 24 points.

18. Nebraska (9-2)

The Cornhuskers beat up on Maryland 28-7 on Saturday without Tommy Armstrong Jr. setting up a huge clash at Iowa on Friday afternoon.

17. Boise State (10-1)

The Broncos topped UNLV 42-25 last Friday giving them their 10th win of the year. Boise takes on Air Force this Friday on the road in hopes to improve its resume for a bigger bowl game.

16. West Virginia (8-2)

Oklahoma jumped out to a 34-7 first half lead over the Mountaineers on Saturday. West Virginia cut the lead in half ultimately falling 56-28, but it was a bad day in Morgantown.

15. Western Michigan (11-0)

With ESPN's College GameDay in town, the Broncos blanked Buffalo 38-0 on a snowy Saturday. Western Michigan hosts Toledo in a huge MAC showdown on Friday.

14. Florida (8-2)

The Gators clinched the SEC East with a goal line stand and 16-10 win at LSU on Saturday. They close out the season at Florida State on Saturday before taking on Alabama in the SEC Championship on Dec. 3.

13. Louisville (9-2)

Louisville traveled to Houston and left without its College Football Playoff aspirations after falling 36-10. Lamar Jackson was held to just 211 passing yards and 33 rushing yards on the night.

12. Houston (9-2)

The Cougars jump ahead of Louisville after dominating the Cardinals. Think Houston wishes it could get another shot at Navy or SMU after falling to them earlier in the year?

11. Colorado (9-2)

The Buffaloes flexed their muscle against Washington State and now sit atop the Pac-12 South standings. What a year Colorado has put together.
