A college football team will be missing three key players for its bowl game tonight.

Minnesota has announced that it will be without three key defenders for its contest against Georgia Tech.

The Golden Gophers are set to take on the Yellow Jackets at 5:15 p.m. E.T.

Gophers head coach P.J. Fleck will address the status of Martin and the other players after the game.

On Dec. 19, Fleck said at least one starter would miss the bowl game after violating unspecified team rules. Fleck also has said some players would miss Wednesday’s game because of injuries.

These absences are on top of the absence of linebacker Blake Cashman, the U’s leading tackler who said Dec. 11 he’s skipping the bowl to prepare for the NFL. They’ve also been without star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. who had season-ending Lisfranc foot surgery after the 41-13 loss to Maryland in the Big Ten opener on Sept. 22.

Minnesota and Georgia Tech are set to kick off at 5:15 p.m. E.T.

The game will be on ESPN.
