Columbus Police Release Statement On Car Accident Reportedly Involving PGA Pro, Former NHL Player

Columbus Police have released a statement on the car accident that reportedly sent PGA player Bud Cauley to the hospital following Round 2 of The Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio. The accident reportedly also involved former NHL player James Wisniewski.

The accident, which occurred on Friday, was a single-car wreck, according to the Columbus Police. Three passengers were injured and the driver was placed in custody for questioning.

Cauley, a former Alabama Crimson Tide golfer, was reportedly sent to the hospital with serious injuries. He's reportedly recovering from five broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a fractured lower left leg.

The case remains open, according to Columbus Police.
