On Thursday afternoon, Conor Mcgregor sat down for his first interview following a rough few months of concerning behavior.

After losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in embarrassing fashion and getting assaulted by Khabib's team afterwards, McGregor's name popped up in a sexual assault case earlier this year.

But that's not all. Video of McGregor assaulting an older man at a bar surfaced earlier this month.

Mcgregor addressed the video, apologizing for his actions during the interview with MMA insider Ariel Helwani.

After addressing that incident, McGregor revealed when he'll see the inside of the Octagon again.

McGregor said he thinks he will fight again this year. As for who he faces off with? He wants his title back, but he's willing to face any fighter to get there.

"Whatever comes my way, I will face it. Whatever comes my way, I deserve it. I will face this head on. I will not hide from it. I was in the wrong. It was completely unacceptable behavior for a man in my position."

A fitting return to the Octagon would have him face Nate Diaz to end their trilogy.

McGregor brought up a potential bout between the two when he congratulated Diaz on a recent win.
