The Dallas Cowboys are set to play a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals this evening. They will be doing so without several of their top players.

ESPN NFL insider Todd Archer is reporting that a bunch of the Cowboys' top players will miss this evening's game against the Cardinals.

Archer is reporting that both quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott will not be playing tonight. Prescott has played sparingly this preseason, while Elliott has yet to record a carry.

The Cowboys' offensive line is hurting, badly.

Dallas' Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin will all miss tonight's game. Both Smith and Martin are expected to be good to go by Week 1, but Frederick is dealing with a serious health matter.

Here's the full update from ESPN:

"Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott will not play Sunday vs. Arizona with starting offensive linemen Tyron Smith (hamstring),Travis Frederick (Guillain-Barre Syndrome) and Zack Martin (knee) out, according to multiple sources. Smith and Martin are expected to be ready for the Sept. 9 opener at Carolina. Elliott will enter the season without a preseason carry; Prescott played in 39 preseason snaps, completing 13 of 18 passes for 125 yards and two," Archer reports.

The Cowboys and the Cardinals are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. The game will be on NBC.
