The Cowboys and the Saints are set to play one of the biggest Thursday night games of the NFL's 2018 regular season this evening, with Jason Garrett's streaking team set to host Sean Payton and his dominant squad.
Dallas might be missing a key starter for tonight's game, though.
The Cowboys have issued a major injury update for tonight's game, as left tackle Tyron Smith is still dealing with an injury.
Smith, who missed the Thanksgiving win over the Washington Redskins, could miss tonight's game, too.
NFL insider Jane Slater had the latest.
"Tyron Smith listed as questionable and a “game time decision” tonight against the Saints. A source informed tells me “it’s not looking good” Smith continues to battle a neck stinger and right elbow injury. Cameron Fleming will start if Smith can’t go," she reports.
Smith continues to battle a neck stinger and right elbow injury. He was called a game-time decision by coach Jason Garrett earlier this week.
The 27-year-old left tackle was active during the Thanksgiving victory over the Washington Redskins, but didn't play a single snap.
Cameron Fleming would get the start again if Smith sits versus the Saints.
The Cowboys offensive line did a solid job sans Smith last week against Washington, but Dak Prescott was still sacked four times. Prescott has already been sacked a career-high 38 times this season -- tied with Eli Manning for the most in the NFL.
The Cowboys and the Saints are set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. The game will be on FOX.
